Mission, Vision, Values, and Community Guidelines

  • Our mission is to serve as a learning, training, and community organization that promotes, supports, and encourages the development, integration, and skillful use of meditation practices and community-building practices in all aspects of life.

  • The vision for Community Village is to create a self-sustaining community that supports wholesome community & friendship amongst meditators, and is open and accessible to all who seek it.

It’s a place where we inspire and support each other to cultivate wholesome qualities like mindfulness, kindness and compassion in our everyday lives and social interactions.

Through this, we aim to awaken more fully as individuals, in our relationships, and as a society, contributing to a kinder, wiser, more connected, and compassionate world.

We envision a future where wholesome friendship & community thrives, and we hope to contribute to a world where this is true.

“Interbeing is the understanding that nothing exists separately from anything else. We are all interconnected. By taking care of another person, you take care of yourself. By taking care of yourself, you take care of the other person. Happiness and safety are not individual matters.”- Thich Nhat Hanh

  • The Core Values of Community Village are:

    1. Friendship (Cultivating wholesome friendships)

    2. Meditation (Remembering to practice meditation)

    3. Generosity (Participating in the cycle of generosity)

    4. Openness (Keeping an open mind)

    5. Mindful Living (Walking the talk and enjoying the ride)

Our Values Page details the importance of our Values and how we cultivate them together in community.

  • In our Gatherings we want to create an atmosphere of trust and a welcoming environment for all. A space where we can listen and share in an open and vulnerable way. To learn, explore and grow together. Each of us contributes in creating this space, by how we speak and listen. So we agree on some Community Guidelines.
